So previously I mentioned that the cost of a premium for one year's worth of Mexican liability insurance currently runs about US $350. Let me expand upon that with some better news.
A few minutes' search found the same coverage – issued by the same Mexican insurance company, yet – but purchased through a different insurance broker* for a premium of only US $195. So we went with the $195 premium. The transaction was done exclusively via email – including getting the policy and declaration sheet. Very simple, very easy, very fast, very practical for folks on boats. So it's worth spending a little bit of time to get a second or third opinion before you commit, is all I'm sayin'.
Yet another problem solved.
